Community Options supports over 155 people with a disability across two
sites, 252 Springvale Rd, Nunawading and 8 Witt St, Mitcham. Our
services focus on skill development and independence in a variety of
areas. This includes Fine and Performing Arts, Individual Skill
Enhancement and Development, Prevocational training, Leisure,
Recreational and Educational Options.
Both our services run over 100 programmes per week on our sites and at external community facilities. Individual programmes are delivered as a direct result of requests from clients and/or their parents and carers. The programmes are designed to meet their aspirations, desires and needs. Our aim is to build confidence and self-esteem as well as make the individual a valued participant in the community.
To access Community Options clients must be registered with the Department of Human Services. In addition to state funding, clients are charged fees to attend the service.
