How we provide support

Most people who choose to access Nadrasca's services use the funding made available to them as participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The NDIS is enabling Nadrasca to provide more flexible and individualised supports and opportunities. The Service Delivery Framework (SDF) establishes new directions and priorities for Nadrasca services. This is achieved by designing and delivering new supports and reshaping the existing learning and capacity building, employment and supported independent living opportunities to further promote participants independence and social and economic inclusion. The SDF is underpinned by four working principles of Rights, Person Centred Active Supports, Participation and Inclusion, and Wellbeing.

My Pathway My Plan is a new process initiated under the Service Delivery Framework that enables people to use our services with focus and purpose through setting and achieving goals relevant to a person’s lifestyle and NDIS Plan. The framework is also putting in place a system for measuring client outcomes and the positive impacts of our services on people’s lives.

Rights: Nadrasca respects the rights of participants to exercise choice and control in all aspects of their lives; to be treated with respect and to live free from abuse of any type.

Person centred, active support: The person is at the centre of the service Nadrasca provides. The participant is supported to pursue the goals they choose, in the way they wish to. The preferred communication method is identified for each participant in Nadrasca's service, and each participant is supported to pursue independent and fulfilling lives.

Participation and Inclusion: Nadrasca recognises the valuable contribution that all people make in the community and as such Nadrasca realises the importance that participants are visible, present and active both at Nadrasca and in the community.

Wellbeing: Nadrasca will work to make a positive impact on the lives of the participant in respect to their physical, social and psycho social wellbeing and their identity.
