At Rookies Café, making coffees is just the beginning.

Our in-house training facility offers you a real taste of what it’s like to work in hospitality. Whether you’re interested in honing your barista skills, mastering food handling, or learning the ins and outs of customer service, you can learn it all at Rookies.

You’ll dive deep into the nitty-gritty of running a café, from food prep and kitchenhand duties to behind-the-scenes operations like stocktake, food safety checks, balancing the till and operating a float.

Rookies Café is open to our 140 supported employees, all staff, and guests.

Located at our head office, Rookies Café is open to our 140 supported employees, all staff, and guests. Plus, our talented team has expanded into catering for Nadrasca events, giving you even more opportunities to build your skills and confidence.

Rookies Café is an elective offered as part of My Life, My Future’s Core program, but if you’re only looking for hospitality experience, join us for at least two days a week to start gaining skills and experience!
