Accommodation

Nadrasca’s home and living support services aim to develop peoples’ skills to empower them to live as independently as possible, whether that’s through individualised support in their own home or in one of Nadrasca's Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes.

Supports we provide

At Nadrasca, we understand that independence is important to you. That's why we offer supports designed to help you live as independently as possible.

We work closely with you and the people important to you to determine your support needs and preferences, and then tailor our services to meet your goals and aspirations.

We provide support with:

  • Home living activities such as housekeeping, shopping, cooking and household budgeting
  • Using community services and resources (such as banks, shopping centres, public transport, medical professionals, parks and gardens)
  • Using aids and equipment for mobility and/or independence
  • Developing skills such as decision making, problem solving, and conflict resolution
  • Managing emotions personal responses
  • Building and maintaining community connections and personal relationships

We also focus on developing the skills you need to feel confident and empowered in social situations. And if you need help getting to medical appointments, we're here for you.

We take pride in being a part of your journey towards greater independence and living your best life.

How we provide supports

At Nadrasca, the working principles that define how people are seen and provided support include:

  • Human rights
  • Person-centred active support
  • Participation and inclusion
  • Wellbeing

Human rights recognise the inherent value of each person, regardless of background, where they live, what they look like, what they think or what they believe.

Active support is a way of working that enables everyone, no matter what their level of intellectual or physical disability, to make choices and participate in meaningful activities and social relationships.

Increased community participation and inclusion can lead to improved health, wellbeing and quality of life outcomes.

Wellbeing is dependent upon good health, positive social relationships, and availability of resources and services.

Nadrasca is committed to providing support that encompasses all four principles.
